Mr. AJ Rahman is the Chairman of the board of directors of Norvic Shipping international Ltd. Mr. Rahman is also the CEO and founder of Norvic Maritime group, the parent company of Norvic International Ltd.
He has been involved in the shipping business as an entrepreneur since 1991 founding several successful shipping companies. Mr. Rahman holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and MBS from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Mr. Guy Cooper has been a board member of Norvic Shipping International Ltd. since 2018.
Mr. Cooper is a corporate lawyer specialising in bank and asset finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and group restructurings. Mr. Cooper holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Newcastle, UK and a PgDL and LPC from The College of Law, Guilford, UK.
Mr. Marcello Ausenda has been a board member of Norvic Shipping International Ltd. since 2016.
He is also a lawyer with a specialization in corporate matters, mergers & acquisitions and capital markets. Mr. Ausenda holds a bachelor’s degree from McGill University, Montreal, and LLB from London School of Economics, UK.
Mr. Victor Richards has been a board member of Norvic Shipping International Ltd. since 2016.
Furthermore, he is a lawyer with a specialization in shipping, maritime, finance and corporate matters. Mr. Richards holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Western Ontario, Canada and MA (Legal Studies) from University of Bristol, UK.
Mr. Kazi Rumi became a board member of Norvic Shipping International Ltd. in 2020. He has also been serving the company as the Executive Director, Corporate Affairs since 2016.
Mr. Rumi holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh.”
Michael Fenger joined Norvic Shipping in 2019 and is the COO and Global Head of Chartering.
Mr. Fenger began his shipping career in 1981 in a Danish Shipbroking company, and has been working in the industry ever since. This has all been within the drybulk sector, only interrupted by an early break spending 2 years at sea working as a cadet for J .Lauritzen A/S.
Since then Michael has spent 10 years working with TKB, 8 years with Armada Shipping in Switzerland and 10 years with Copenship A/S where he was acting as the CEO. He has in the last 4 years been setting up commercial offices in Copenhagen for two different drybulk owners and operators, before he joined Norvic Shipping.
Michael Fenger is a Danish National and resides in Dubai.
Niels K. Kjaer-Petersen joined Norvic Shipping in September 2019.
Mr. Kjaer-Petersen has over 30 years of experience working with various companies in the United States, Singapore, Switzerland, and Denmark. He started his career with Weco Shipping, an old Danish shipowner, and then moved to Singapore, spending 3 years there working with an exclusive broking shop. In 1992, Niels joined Armada Shipping to set up their new office in the United States. He left the group in 2003 after having worked the last 5 years as commercial manager of the Swiss office. In 2004, he joined MUR Shipping to start the group’s Atlantic activities and head their office in Copenhagen, working there for 15 years before joining Norvic Shipping.
Niels K. Kjaer-Petersen is a Danish national and resides in Denmark.
Mr. Michael Madsen joined Norvic in 2016 to start up and manage Norvic’s office in Houston as the Commercial Director.
Mr. Madsen began his shipping career in 1996 at Armada Shipping in Denmark. In 1998 he moved to Connecticut for Parcel Tankers, which was partly owned by Armada Shipping. Later that same year he moved to Armada Shipping’s U.S.A. dry bulk desk. In 2002 he joined J. Lauritzen U.S.A., where he worked his way up within Lauritzen Bulkers. He began as a chartering manager, and progressed to Senior Chartering Manager, focusing on business in the Americas. In 2014 he transferred to Singapore where he worked as the Team leader for Lauritzen Bulker’s Supramax Pacific team.
Mr. Madsen is a Danish national residing in the USA.
Mr. Stephen Lamb joined Norvic Shipping in 2018 to manage the day to day operations of the Legal Department as the Head of Legal.
Mr. Lamb has more than 25 years of experience in maritime law and is dual qualified as an English solicitor and American lawyer.
Mr. Lamb joins us from Western Bulk where he was previously Legal Counsel for 9 years. Prior to that, Mr. Lamb worked for the Eitzen Group (now UltraBulk), practiced law in Washington DC, and worked for a member of the US Congress.
Stephen Lamb is an American national and resides in Copenhagen.
