Toronto-based ship operator Norvic Shipping hosted an evening of cocktails and dinner in New Delhi that was well attended by local shipbrokers.
The event was held to celebrate Norvic’s successful six months of operation in the subcontinent. The company set up its New Delhi base last year and since has been adding domestic clients to its portfolio.
Shipbrokers on hand included Ravi Chopra and Arjun Saigal of Interocean group, Anshuman Jajodia, director at Shiplinks-Galbraith’s, Abhinav Kumar of Clarksons India and Captain Amardeep Singh Bhatia of Ravindra K Reshamwala.
AJ Rahman, president and chief executive of Norvic, appeared to be a satisfied man as he welcomed guests.
It seems India is increasingly attracting the interest of international companies as the country grows as a cargo hub.
